It’s designed for people with cars. The parking is really safe. Only the ones who are checked in have access to the underground garage. There is a room key card scanner at the entrance of the underground garage. The parking is spacious as well. The ease of parking our car feels like the parking layout is was well thought out. The rooms are safe as well. Like the garage, only the ones who are checked in can go inside the rooms. There is also a room key card scanner at the entrance to the rooms. Additionally, there is a direct access from the rooms to the garage. They layout is extremely well designed for security. There is also an ice dispenser at the floor where our room is located. The location is nice as well. There are restaurants nearby. Looking through the window, I can see the Golden Gate Bridge from a distance when there is no fog. There is also a safe in the room so we were able to put our valuables in there. Overall an efficient experience and I definitely would visit again if I have a car with me.

The Chelsea Inn far exceeded all my expectations. First, the location -- on Lombard Street in Cow Hollow, within walking distance of many restaurants. Bus stop outside on Lombard Street. Second, security -- at check-in, you received an electronic key card to enter the building and to enter your room. Card also provided access to the secure car parking garage below the building. Third, no charge for parking your car and no restrictions on "in-and-out's." Fourth, quality of room -- we had a King bed with a very large television screen and a high-speed internet connection. Our bathroom had marble tile flooring and a shower/bath combination tub. Very hot water. Room and hallways were exceptionally clean. Easy to control room temperature settings. Finally, the quiet -- our third floor room was away from the traffic on Lombard Street and we heard NOTHING while in our room.

Easy check in, room was much bigger than expected, one floor up. Location was great for access to the wider San Fransisco area, with buses stopping right outside the hotel. There were also plenty of places to eat in the local area and Fisherman's Wharf is a 10 min bus ride/30 minute walk away. Amenities in the room were reasonable - TV, coffee maker and AC, the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean.

The room was spacious and quite comfortable. Late-night check-in was a breeze. The hotel proactively communicated about potential parking limitations, and they were incredibly helpful in providing alternative parking options. Fortunately, we found a spot on-site, which was ideal for unloading our belongings. We used the room as a base for our work, and it was perfectly suitable. The hotel's location is fantastic, with numerous dining and entertainment options within easy reach. While breakfast isn't provided, there are plenty of nearby choices. If you're planning a short stay in San Francisco, this hotel is a great option. It's conveniently located, just 10 minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge and 5 minutes from the Palace of Fine Arts. The rooms are spacious enough for families, and the elevator-accessible parking is a major plus. While not overly luxurious, the hotel offers a comfortable and convenient stay for adventurous families and couples.

Convenient location right on Lombard Street. Lots of restaurants and bars close by, downtown SF still walkable (for good walkers). Golden Gate Park and beach close by. This is a motel type accommodation with parking space in ground floor and basement, rooms in first and second floor. Somewhat old fashioned rooms, but clean and well maintained. Good value if you include cost for parking with other hotels in SF.
